About Me:
WILLIE B. WHITE is a native Alabamian, grew up in Montgomery, Alabama where she attended George Washington Carver High School.
She has a wealth of teaching experiences, both at the community college level and grades K-12.
In 1999, Ms. White attended Central Michigan University, Troy, Michigan, where she earned a Masters of Arts in Education. While working on her Certificate of Progress Program in Christian Education (COPP), at Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education under the auspices of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, Nashville, TN. She published her first article “Reflection of the Lord’s Prayer” (The Informer 2001, and The Acts of Forgiveness 2003). In addition, Ms. White has completed Dean and Presidents Seminar (2006) from the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, Nashville, TN. She has done additional studying at Ecumenical Theological (2002) in their Master of Divinity program, Detroit, MI. Ms. White continued to write religious articles to be published, which are (A) My Faith Journey, (B) the Healing of Forgiveness, (C) the Effectiveness of a smile,(published, Penned from the Heart, 2006) (D) Inner Peace, (published, Penned from the Heart, 2006) (E) the Family and (F) the Works of the Holy Spirit. Theses’ to be published as journal articles are: “The Role of Education in the mission of the Christian church and The Realities and Consequences of Social Promotion emotional behavior students.”
Ms. White has been a Sunday school teacher at her local church, Northwest Unity MBC, Detroit, MI for thirty years, and has taught Christian Education in her district, Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education, Detroit, MI for the past ten years. Ms. White answered the call to teach under the founding Pastor, Rev. Ozzie Clark. Ms. White currently serves as the Christian Education Director of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Pontiac MI Rev. Dr. Solomon Smith SR. Pastor.
. Her book, “The Lord is My Shepherd,” on the 23rd Psalm published December 3, 2007. This book takes an in-depth look at the 23rd psalm, which depicts God as the good shepherd. Ms. White has completed her second book, “An Expose on the Holy Spirit,” published 06/2009.
Ms. White weekly articles appear in the Oakland press in Oakland County MI, which can be read online at www.theoakpress.com under the religious section and Divine Inspiration Magazine and quarterly articles in The Informer a Christian magazine. An Exposé Of The Holy Spirit is her third, which is an inspirational book and the fourth book is her monthly devotional, Heavenly Bread designed for daily inspirational reading. Her DVD, Who is God, is in the works, and the video provides a pictorial insight to who God is with a tentative release date of December 2009. Her fourth and fifth books are her memoirs and The Heavenly Vision: God’s Moral Law The Ten Commandments. Her sixth book is an educational piece, which deals with social promotion of our emotional behavior students, youth and young adults. She is qualified to deal with this issue as a result of teaching special education in an urban setting for three years and earning a Master of Arts in Special Education from Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA, in 2004. Social promotion is an important topic that needs addressing because it affects the future of our children.
Since my writing genres are education and religion/inspirational. MY goals are to inform, educate, inspire and enlighten her readers.
